And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? (Mark 6:2)
Wisdom is one of the distinctive features of a spiritual person as in righteousness, peace, joy. These virtues like distinguishing features of male and female natural beings do extricate a Spirit born from a natural born. A natural born is sensual and earthly but a Spirit born is Spiritual and Heavenly. A natural born picks and interprets signs and clues by his natural senses (common senses) but a Spirit born does not walk by sight but the Faith – reliance on Spiritual signals (Praise the Lord) When we become born again, the Bible says “…we are born of the Spirit” (John 3:6). Issued or emerged from the womb of the Spirit. A people or beings “…who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:13). The Bible further describes born again beings as a peculiar people, unusual, atypical, unconventional, odd or simply put aliens – not of this earthly terrain but Heavenly. The Kingdom of God therefore is essentially composed of Spirit birthed specie of beings; a people with unique operating system that operates and delivers unique products classified as “out of this World” Praise the Lord!!! This is the backdrop of the astonishment that accompany the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ; the first born among many brethren who are born of the Spirit. He was teaching in the synagogue and many hearing Him perceived authority, life, government and power in His Words. His Words were finely distilled; no one could claim misunderstanding Him, the Words were effectual, piercing and refining. The Words were Truth and redemptive – the people were revived and renewed. Joy filled their soul; they felt released, liberated and unconstrained. These are the elements of the Word of Wisdom; consider how the Bibles describes it; “The words of a [discreet and wise] man’s mouth are like deep waters [plenteous and difficult to fathom], and the fountain of skillful and godly Wisdom is like a gushing stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life-giving].” (Prov. 18:4 AMP) Beloved, this is the inheritance of the Saints and their mandate – to be life givers. About them include you and I, the Bible says, “And saviors shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s. (Obadiah 1:21). These Saviors are the Saints of the Almighty God who shall establish and enforce the order of His God’s government. This Wisdom manifests itself not only in sparkling, fresh, pure and life-giving Words but also in mighty works. You and I are not only to speak Words but do Works also. Concerning Jesus the Lord, the Bible says, “…mighty works were wrought by His hands” (Mark 6:2)
