But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (Gen. 3:3 KJV)
To eat or not to eat “of the fruit of the tree” is the crux of Man’s survival streak in the place organized for him by God.
Recounting the incident that trumped Man in the game, the Bible records,” Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself. And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”,
“You should not eat…she gave me of the tree, and I ate…The serpent deceived me and I ate” were defining sentences that underlined the crucible that grounded the rights to peace and its quite enjoyment for Man. Man ate!
It is pungent to gain truth about what was eaten and why to refresh, reflect and redirect Man from being slain by the slime that slipped Man into precipice and depravity until “…the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:78-79 NKJV) testifying of the blessed and needed salvation offered by Grace and delivered through Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
“The fruit of the tree” was the trap and eating of it to gain independence from God was the cause. We could survive any trap so long we do not trigger its cause. We need to note this. No trap can trip without it being triggered….and the trick of the adversary is the tweet of treat for trap. Saint Beware!!!
Fruit, is the edible part of a plant, the produce of the plant harvested and depended upon by human and animals. It is also described as the product, outcome or result of an activity. Fruit is the consequence of an action. The Fruit of a tree testifies for the tree: its type and composition. The Bible puts it thus, “For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.” (Luke 6:44 NKJV) The concern is; of what tree does one eat from? What tree feeds ones appetite? What triggers the result we get?
In the midst of every Man’s life garden, are still two trees and we must choose which one to nurture in every occasion about which we must make decisions. Consider what the Bible says of these two trees; “For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.” (Romans 8:13 NIV) The flesh and the Spirit are in the midst of everyman
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Gal. 5:22-23) Eat Right. Do right. Live Right
