And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Luke 21:13
Basis is the fundamental element of a subject. It is the necessary and founding block of that subject upon which other externalities are built. This basic part is often not visible but the existence and permanency of the external parts undoubtedly verifies, validates and celebrates this founding block.
Basis is so essential that it is the starting point to learn any subject, it is the elementary part of the course about which every student must generally participate. It accentuates the important element of the subject that makes the complex or advanced section of the subject easily comprehensible.
Basis is the central frame upon which the subject is both defined and understood. For instance, the basic concept of multiplications, addition, division and subtraction is central to the study of Mathematics. No one can advance any further in the subject without the good grasp of this basic concept.
Now, in relation to the Faith that we have towards God and which is the central element of our salvation, the Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” (Eph. 2:8) we must gain this basic element, the fundamental basis and founding block.
This basic element is the central theme of our walk with God and the winning streak of Kingdom exploits. Without this basic and central element, claims to Faith towards God is both vain and fake.
And he (Jesus said), “… it shall turn to you for a testimony.” (Luke 21:8-13) The preface and scenario precedent to this statement or rather assertion concerning which The Lord Jesus adjudged a “turn for a testimony” is a blatant contradiction to the pretext of man’s conception of a testimony. Man would rather conclude the events as gruesome trials and surfeiting perplexity. This is contrary to the tenet of our basic faith.
Paul said, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28). This is the building block of the Christian Faith and the central driver of all Kingdom exploits; “For by it the elders obtained a good report.” (Heb. 11:2)
A believer in God and the redeemed through the salvation that is in Christ Jesus must rest in this truth otherwise such Faith is rather fake. God always works for the good of His own otherwise no one would trust His goodwill, but our God is trustworthy if we would trust Him.
“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place…For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. (2 Cor. 2:14). We thank God for the mystery of Faith.
