Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. (Isaiah 55:3 KJV)
There is life in the Word of God. This is a profound and necessary truth for our notice and assimilation. We live by the Word of God.
Throughout Human history and till present, a recurring event and trend is God and Man’s need for sync and integration. Man’s has continued to need God and God has continued to need Man. The required synchronization is so basic and crucial that there is a fatal abruption of plan and purpose should the integration not exit or be nulled. This is a crucial truth. God designed Man to sync and integrate with Him.
At the initial contemplation of Man’s creation, the premise was to design Man after the image and likeness of God. Man was designed to reflect or mirror God, infused with the Nature of God but on the Earth. The Bible puts it thus, “God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.” God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God’s nature. He created them male and female. God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.” The Characteristic nature of God was God’s Word…”the Word was God” the Bible says (John 1:2 KJV). The Word: when our Lord Jesus would describe Him says “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. (John 6:63 KJV). It was this Nature of God in Man that would make Man live by God. Man is sustained and maintained by the Word of God. This is an important notice.
Akin to the popular and pervasive use of the USB (Universal Connection Bus) between a computer and other devices, The Word of God is that necessary and postulated interface to connect God and Man. It is the conduit that deposits or integrates Man with God; the Word infused Man with life (of God) and thereby Man lived.
Man would later die when Adam would decline or disobey the Word of God (that made him live). About this death experience, Adam said; “I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And God said, who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?” (Gen. 3:10-11 KJV) Man became detached, disconnected or emptied of life because that Universal Connection Bus (USB) that downloaded or transmitted life of God to Man was broken.
Beloved, let us not be weary or unwise to understand our need and requirement for the Word of God. Jesus said, “It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady stream of words from God’s mouth.” (Matt. 4:4 MSG)
Let us be awaken to this true need as we are aware of our need for daily bread as Man shall not live by that bread alone but by every Word of God; “…come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live” God says. What is God saying to us (now)? Let’s buy into it and live. Amen
