His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. (John 2:5 KJV)
God speaks and he deserves to be heard and obeyed. It is a very cruel act to disobey God or be hard hearted towards God. We need to referentially understand this to apply and comply. To be hard heart is to shut one’s heart to the Word or promptings of God, to ignore or neglect the nudging of the Spirit to align with His leading. We need to avoid any occasion that instigate one against The Lord. Beloved be wise.
As Believers; and God being Invisible, we only interact with God by His Word. It is our hearing and relying on the Word spoken to us by God that makes our relations with God real and existent. No one can claim relations with God without the evident reliance on the Word of God. Indeed, what makes anyone a Believer; is the reliance on the Word of God by such a person.
It is important to mention that, one’s belief in God without reliance on the Word of God makes one an unbeliever. We must understand this. One cannot claim belief in God and not rely on God’s Word. True Believers are not those who believe God is, (exists) rather those who believe (rely) on the Word of God thereby validating their belief that God is. This is the key.
The Bible says something of note in this regard, “Do I hear you professing to believe in the one and only God, but then observe you complacently sitting back as if you had done something wonderful? That’s just great. Demons do that, but what good does it do them? Use your heads! Do you suppose for a minute that you can cut faith and works in two and not end up with a corpse on your hands…The full meaning of “believe” in the Scripture sentence, “Abraham believed God and was set right with God,” includes his action. It’s that mesh of believing and acting that got Abraham named “God’s friend.” (James 2:19-24 MSG). We cannot claim belief in God without doing what God says. One in essence denies God when one disobeys, disdains, scorn or treats His Word with contempt. This is good for our comprehension.
We need to take God at His Word and for His Word, God is very serious about every Word He speaks and would not hold anyone guiltless that neglects, disdains or ignores His Words, He sees it as unbelief.
The Bible says, “Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all? Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it? Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy? (Amos 3:4-8KJV)
God does not speak for fun beloved, “So don’t turn a deaf ear to these gracious words. If those who ignored earthly warnings didn’t get away with it, what will happen to us if we turn our backs on heavenly warnings (Heb. 12:25MSG)
