And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Gen. 2:7 KJV)
We need to gain the truth about our creation to have complete understanding of our formation (the material we are made of) and the required competency to manage our being. Man is a delicate composite creation, uniquely and utterly unlike any other. It is this “delicate composite” nature of Man that confers Man with the dominion and exquisite class of being granted him over all God’s creation.
Man was not an abstract or thoughtless creation of God, rather God was deliberate and intentional about the need and creation of Man. This is important for our cognitive and collegiate appreciation of our true self as we gain understanding of the reasoning that straddles our respective existence. You and I are uniquely important and implicitly relevant to the cause and course of events on the face of the Earth. This is important to apprehend.
About God’s contemplation of the creation of Man, the Bibles says, “God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Gen 1:26 KJV). Notice the grand thought and reminiscence that precipitated the creation and formation of Man; the image and likeness Man was designated to Mirror and assigned role to Man in the scope. It is simply intense. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Gen. 1:27 KJV). Annotate the consequential term “So” upon which God went forward to create Man. It was upon the thought and terms that defined the creation that “So” developed Man; “…God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;”
The unique element that differentiated and elevated Man was the breath of life; introduced by God and by whom Man became a “living Soul”. This is the unique and defining element, the filament of Man’s life-light. It is our good understanding therefore to retain and maintain the life kindle by this “filament” organized by the Breath of God. The Bible puts it thus, “The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” (Job 33:4 KJV) and “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:4 KJV)
Beloved, in the breath of God is life…so breathe. Take a breath and live.
