As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. Psalm 133:3
Life is the product of true Fellowship.
God desires the interaction and relation of every member of the Body for the growth and general wellbeing of itself. About this Body, the Bible says “For as we have many members in one body,…So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.” (Romans 12:4-5) and by the relation and interaction of the members of this Body, the Bible says, “…the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Eph. 4:16). This body is maintained and held together (compacted) by what every joints (parts) supplies according to the effective working of several but varied abilities of every part by which the Body increases and grows unto the building of itself nurture in love…”This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” (Eph. 5:32)
This body representing the Church is the company of the people generally described as Christians or those hoping for eternal salvation by Faith in the eternal redemption through Faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. About this company, Jesus said to the initial members, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matt. 28:19-20). This company of people who commit to the learning and practice “… of all things whatsoever I have commanded you…” is called The Church and The Body of Christ. This is who we are, a necessary unit, composed, compassed and compacted.
About the functionality of this Body and the benefit of the interaction of its many but varied parts, the Bible says, “And all who believed (who adhered to and trusted in and relied on Jesus Christ) were united and [together] they had everything in common; And all who believed (who adhered to and trusted in and relied on Jesus Christ) were united and [together] they had everything in common; And they sold their possessions (both their landed property and their movable goods) and distributed the price among all, according as any had need. And day after day they regularly assembled in the temple with united purpose, and in their homes they broke bread [including the Lord’s Supper]. They partook of their food with gladness and simplicity and generous hearts, Constantly praising God and being in favor and goodwill with all the people; and the Lord kept adding [to their number] daily those who were being saved [from spiritual death]. (Acts 2:44:47 AMP).
Notice the product of their blessed interaction – ” Constantly praising God and being in favor and goodwill with all the people;” we must constantly look out for the reality of this outcome as the literary and necessary product of our relations and interactions as a Church and members, “For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:12-13
