But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. Luke 15:22 KJV
Jesus came to relocate you and me from a low place to a high place; far above all treacheries and caprices of the wicked one. He came to elevate our status from paupers and peasants to kings and priests and the Bible says, “…and we shall reign with him on the earth” Rev. 5:10. It is important and beneficial that we study to learn and understand the composition of our salvation and the inheritance delivered by it.
Prior to Man’s fall; notice the word “fall” indicating a tripping from an elevated position: Man was the most dignified and decorated creature of God on the Earth. About Man’s status, the Psalmist says, “You (God) have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,” (Psalm 8:4-8 NKJV). Notice, Man was made, fashioned, created to have dominion over…all things. This was the status Man had; it was a painful loss but God was faithful to reverse and restore Man to glory and honor.
We must understand what the fall of Man represents to gain truth of his redemption and restoration. Simply, Man fell from being under God’s command to being under the devil’s command. Man by disobeying God elected a new “governor” to control and direct his affairs.
Whereas under God, Man was made to have dominion over all things, herepresented God on the earth, replete and resplendent in Glory and honor until he was callously and wickedly overthrown by the debauchery and whims of God’s enemy; the devil. We must gain good understanding of the “behind the scene” playout of this game. Man; God’s treasured point of interest was captured and decapitated, left without color or color. Man became abysmally lost and depraved …but for God.
So Jesus came, to introduce and integrate the Kingdom (reign and influence) of God among men again, to extract us from the governing decadence and profligacy terror of the wicked; about this relocation the Bible in a “figure” says; “Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them” (Mark 9:2). The terrain and influence of God’s governance in a man’s life transforms the man as it sets him on a high mountain apart…” far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” Eph. 1:21 this God did when he made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (Eph. 2:6 NKJV).
When the prodigal son returned, he was restored. The best robe was put on him replete of glory and honor. Ring was put on his hand restoring his authority and shoe on his feet restoring his influence and impact. Arise and return.
