On this mountain [Zion] the Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples [to welcome His reign on earth], A banquet of aged wines—choice pieces [flavored] with marrow, Of refined, aged wines. (Isaiah 25:6 AMP)
Emolument: it content and context are a big part of engagement and employment contracts. It details the compensation including benefits for holding an office or rendering a service. It is the laconic inducement to attract and retain prized talents. It offers a boisterous opportunity to attract “suitors” to participate or derive good. It is natural therefore for prospecting applicants to search, compare, verify emoluments of varied and multiplied opportunities before deciding. Aptly, latent benefits are drivers in making decision to participate.
This notion typifies the desire and decision to change or pursue citizenship naturalization in our contemporary World. Wealthy Nations with broad and rich emolument for citizens are plagued with umpteen applications for naturalization, visitation or sheer tourism of applicants desirous or enticed by the emoluments so graciously offered and provided. Poor Nations are on the other hand emptied of prized, noble, intelligent and skillful talents as they could not entice or retain them because of poor and lacking emoluments. Everyone seeks a strong environment that can provide and support their silent aspirations and desires for good and prosperous life – it is a natural trend. The evaluation, selection and retention of a good employment or citizenship is however dependent on some critical factors including the scope and depth of information available to the applicant, his/her research skill and the needed competence to make the right and optimal decision. The combination of these factors will enable the applicant to compete, comply and complete the requirement for engagement and admission.
This concept aptly describes the basis for Man’s aspiration (or lack of it) for the membership or “naturalization” of the Kingdom of Heaven. The information available about the Kingdom, the research skill of eligible candidates and Man’s respective competence to make the right and optimal decision are major drivers in the assumption of the citizenship of Heaven.
About the Kingdom of Heaven, the Bible; the rich source of information about God’s Kingdom says, “On this mountain [Zion] the Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples [to welcome His reign on earth], A banquet of aged wines—choice pieces [flavored] with marrow, Of refined, aged wines. And on this mountain, He will destroy the covering that is [cast] over all peoples, And the veil [of death] that is woven and spread over all the nations. He will swallow up death [and abolish it] for all time. And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, And He will take away the disgrace of His people from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken. It will be said in that day, “Indeed, this is our God for whom we have waited that He would save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; Let us shout for joy and rejoice in His salvation.” (Isaiah 25:6-11 AMP)
Beloved, as Kingdom citizens, we must avail the rich emoluments of the Kingdom so we may retain our citizenship and avail others who may otherwise not be privy to the information about the Kingdom. Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matt. 28:19-20 NIV)
