And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus. (Acts 22:11 KJV) Light has glory and the more one is illuminated; the more glorious, colorful, opulent, splendid, magnificent, etc. one would become. Let us seek to gain Light. About the God we serve and the Father we share, the Bible says, “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5 KJV), about the glorious intensity and splendor of His Light, the Bible says, “And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the glory (splendor, radiance) of God has illumined it, and the Lamb is its lamp and light. The nations [the redeemed people from the earth] will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring into it their glory.” (Rev. 21:23-24 AMP). The City of God is lit by the Glorious intensity and the splendor of God’s illumination. Beloved, Light adds color to our lives. Light illuminates our lives and brings us into relevance, significance and visibility. Consider, how relevant, visible and evident the Light of God is to the City of God, it so lit the City that, “the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it”. This notable significance of bearing and being Light must enthuse and motivate us to pursue, engage and retain the Light domicile in God. This Light is the notice and knowledge of the Holy God. The more of God we know, the more of God we become and the more of His Light we attract and reflect. About Moses, a man that was called up unto God at Sinai, so contacted and connected with God that he reflected Light (God) as he descended the Mount about which the Bible says, “When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand, he did not know that the skin of his face was shining [with a unique radiance] because he had been speaking with God.” (Exo. 34:29 AMP). Notice, Moses’ face shone because he had been speaking with God. The knowledge of God adds color, health and wellness to a person that one will truly shine. This is a faithful saying. The Bible further says about Moses, “When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to approach him. (Exo. 34:30 AMP). This unique experience was also recorded about our Lord Jesus Christ upon the Mount described as the Mount of transfiguration of which the Bible says, “…Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.” (Matt. 17:1-2 KJV) and also of Stephen a man full of Faith and Power when being accused by the people, the elders, and the scribes, the Bible says, “And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.” (Acts 6:15) Indicative of Glory on the face and skin of a natural man as you and me. Beloved, God does not intend nor design any of His children to be defaced, deprived or denied of glory, rather, the more of God we know and allow Him to illuminate our being, the more enveloped we are by the Light of His knowledge and Glory is the necessary result. “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ.” (2 Cor. 4:6 AMP) Awake to Light; gain Light through the knowledge of God, “It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” (Prov. 3:8 KJV)
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. (Gen. 1:16-18 KJV)
Light is the divisor of darkness: the penetrator and interceptor of darkness. Light terminates darkness and always incepts a fresh start. Light breaks up darkness for a new day.
God’s wisdom to solve the blackness of darkness upon the earth is a great insight to dealing with Man’s problem upon the earth. Just as God’s was saddled at Creation with the darkness issue so is Man burdened with the crippling and strangling issue of blinding darkness that envelopes the World. According to the Scriptures, “…darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples,” (Isaiah 60:2) and to cure this menace, Light is the remedy.
Consider the Earth’s orbit for instance, the Earth’s rotation on its axis is the science regulating the duration of day and night; the introduction of Light and its termination of darkness marks the beginning of a new day. Light terminates darkness and bring a new dawn. This notice of Light intercepting darkness to bring a new day is crucial and imminent to anyone’s breaking into a new and enlightened fresh start or experience. We must seek light to change old courses and events.
Consider the breakthroughs in technology and advancement in Science for instance, the ease, convenience and adaptability new technologies have brought to Human existence and global connectivity; are eminent products of light gained on what sometime existed to what now exist. From no telephone for instance, to analogue telephones to digital telephones to cell phones to smart phones. Across all spectra of Human existence, new insights have been the lights introduced to transit from dark age to jet age. These lights have intercepted and terminated the darkness that demeaned human existence for a new and glorious lifestyle.
Akin to how new technologies have brought Man into new days of luxury, convenience and opulence; so does new revelation by God’s Truth bring every man into a new dawn of spiritual experience and true living that terminates the despicable and despotic darkness that cripples Man’s spirituality. The light of the Scriptures will always bring any man into a new dawn, new experience and a new day.
About Saul who later became Paul the Apostle, the Bible says, “As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.” (Acts 9:3 NIV). This light from heaven is the interceptor and dayspring that ended the evil darkness that had directed the life of Saul and ushered a glorious new dawn for Paul the Apostle, bringing him to an eminent place in the Apostleship where he did more than all the others in the work of the Gospel and Ministry. He would say; “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. (1 Cor. 15:10 KJV).
Beloved, let us be fast to pursue and gain light; revelations of the truth, it will always sway darkness for a glorious new dawn and a happier new day.
