The Gift of God

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (Eph. 3:1 KJV)
God has richly blessed His children. We all must strive; endeavor, exert ourselves, make good effort to gain knowledge and understand these blessings which are freely bestow upon us by God in Christ Jesus. About these blessings, the Bible describes them in exceedingly terms, i.e. surpassing or beyond any other. This is urgent and cogent for our contemplation and comprehension.
The Bible says, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Eph. 2:7 KJV). Notice the reference term used to describe the riches of God’s grace toward you and I; exceeding!
Early, good and clear understanding of the exceeding, incomparable, surpassing riches of God’s grace toward us is a strong and sturdy deterrent to the malicious entreaties of the wicked (satan). We must understand this truth to gain victory and conquest over temptation and trials; little wonder why the Bible would urge us to reckon the trial of faith as working to making us perfect that we may be entire, wanting nothing. (James 1:2-4 KJV)
Beloved, we must understand the nature and contents of God’s boisterous and bounteous riches and blessings upon us as Christians.
Take Eternal life for instance, a unique and dominant gift (blessing) of God upon the Believer; the Bible says, “For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:20-23 KJV). Notice the recompense (end) of the entreaties of the devil is death but now being made free from sin…the gift of God (to us) is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Beloved, the knowledge of God’s exceeding riches is a compelling and audacious deterrent and prevention against the unscrupulous whims of the wicked. Understanding that the blessed greatness of God’s blessings upon our lives reeling up to life and peace are incomparable to the abysmal petrifying concoction of the devil to send anyone to the abyss. None of us will be found in abyss in Jesus Name.

Who We Are In God

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. (1 John 5:18 KJV)
We are children of God through belief (faith) in the Lord Jesus and if we be God’s children, we must by such cause or virtue share the nature of God. This nature of God is what makes one (now) a Spiritual being, born of the Spirit (John 3:5-6 KJV) -no longer a natural man. We must reign in this truth and relish it. “I am a child of God”.
A child is an offspring of a parent, one who springs out of an old stock deriving its life and nature from that root or stock that borne it. The child therefore is a replica of its progenitor bearing everything that constitutes its father. We understand this notion quite well in a natural realm, accepting as true to trace the traits and attributes of parents to their children. This understanding has quieted any debate, question or argument about a child’s paternity. A child bears the nature of parents.
Having understood and accepted this truth, it must not disturb, rattle or upset anyone to accept that a child of God bears or shares the nature of God. The understanding of this truth quiets (also) any debate, question or argument about our spirituality if indeed we are borne or derived from God; who is a Spirit.
The Bible describes how that birth experience of being born again is attained where it says; “Yet to all who did receive him (Jesus Christ), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” (John 1:12-13 NIV). Notice the “children born not of natural descent”; as a child of God through faith and belief in the Lord Jesus Name, we become a descendant (offspring) of a higher order life source that is not natural but rather Spiritual by God.
It is from this spiritual descent that Eternal life; a life type and source pertinent in God Alone is derived. This supernatural or unnatural order of rebirth relocates you and I from being natural to spiritual so that what grieves, affects and limits natural men do not touch us and as the Bible says, “…the evil one cannot harm them. (1 John 5:18 KJV)
Beloved, we are of God!
“God is my Father” is not a chorus we chant but a reality we (must) enjoy. A new and higher order of lifestyle resplendent in glory, color and honor. As a child of God, you and I derive our life and nature from God; that life is Eternal Life and the Nature is Spiritual. Live (therefore) as a Child of God. Peace!
